Meet Andrew Stauffer
Andrew Stauffer is a husband, father, businessman, and proud Jackson County resident, running for re-election as County Commissioner.
Born and raised in Northern Indiana, Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University in Michigan. While in school, he gained valuable hands-on experience through a co-op program with Dana Incorporated, and later with Bosch, where he developed diesel fuel and engine calibration systems. Andrew ultimately rose to lead Bosch’s first North American Diesel Motorsport Division, overseeing everything from product development and testing to sales, marketing, and manufacturing.
In 2012, Andrew relocated to Seymour to serve as resident engineer for Bosch at the Cummins Seymour Engine Plant. That same year, he co-founded S&S Diesel Motorsport, a Seymour-based company that started with just two employees and has since grown to employ over 40 Hoosiers – many of them right here in Jackson County. Today, S&S Diesel is recognized as one of the most innovative companies in the diesel industry, designing and manufacturing reliability products that make diesel trucks stronger and more dependable.
In September of 2025, Andrew was elected by Republican precinct committeemen to fill a vacancy on the Jackson County Board of Commissioners for District 3. He is now seeking a full term in the May 2026 Republican Primary. With his background in business, engineering, and community service, Andrew brings proven leadership and a strong commitment to helping Jackson County grow and thrive.
Andrew and his wife, Lindsey, live in Brownstown with their daughters, Sloane and Josie. Their family is active in the community and attends Brownstown Christian Church.
Issues & Priorities
Responsible Use of Tax Dollars
Andrew believes every dollar entrusted to county government should be treated with the same care he gives his own family and business. He will keep Jackson County on solid financial ground by avoiding unnecessary debt, eliminating waste, and ensuring investments are made wisely and transparently.
Principles and Values
As a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, constitutional conservative, Andrew stands firm in his commitment to protecting the most vulnerable and defending the freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution. He will always put faith, family, and community first, serving Jackson County with integrity and conviction.
Infrastructure and Growth
From county roads and bridges to drainage systems and utilities, Andrew will prioritize safe, dependable infrastructure that supports both current needs and future growth. He is committed to maintaining and improving these assets in a way that protects taxpayers and preserves the character of Jackson County.
Safe Communities
Andrew is deeply concerned about the drug activity and crime that threaten our neighborhoods. He will stand shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement and first responders, making sure they have the tools and support they need to protect families and children. He will also work with state and federal partners whenever necessary to keep illegal activity, including illegal immigration, and dangerous criminals out of our communities.
Property Rights and Local Accountability
Andrew understands that freedom begins with the right to use and enjoy your own property. He will work to uphold property rights while making sure county zoning rules are applied fairly, consistently, and without favoritism. By insisting on clear rules and accountability, he will help protect both landowners and the integrity of our communities.
Andrew Stauffer is committed to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Jackson County for every resident. His record of responsible leadership makes him the right choice to keep our county moving forward while preserving the values we hold dear.
